Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains what PeakFilm (“we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built PeakFilm around a simple principle: your game footage is yours. We only process it to do the job you asked us to do — build your highlight reel.

Information We Collect

You provide: the player's name, jersey number, team, and sport you enter when uploading; your email address if you choose to give one; and any profile details (stats, bio, recruiting info) you add to an athlete profile.

You upload: the game video files you submit for highlight generation.

Collected automatically: basic, non-identifying usage data (such as which features are used and errors encountered) to keep the product working and improve it. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

How We Use Your Information

We use your uploads and the details you provide to detect highlight moments and produce your reel, to operate and secure the service, and — if you gave an email — to tell you when your reel is ready and send occasional product updates. You can unsubscribe from updates at any time.

Your Video Footage & Storage

Uploaded video and the data derived from it are processed by our AI pipeline and stored on our own secured servers. Your footage is private to you by default; a reel or profile becomes viewable by others only when you choose to share its link.

Uploads that have not produced a finished reel are automatically deleted after 30 days. Finished reels are kept while your account is active so you can access them. You can delete any upload or reel yourself at any time, and we delete it from our systems.

AI & Product Improvement

We do not use your raw uploaded video to train our AI models without your explicit consent. To improve tracking accuracy we may retain anonymized, non-identifying technical signals (for example, corrections you make when confirming which player to follow) that are not tied to your identity and do not include your video.

Youth Athletes & Parental Consent

Youth sports are a core use of PeakFilm. The service is intended for users 13 and older. If you are under 13, a parent or guardian must create and manage the account and upload footage on your behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if we learn that we have, we will delete it promptly.

If footage shows a minor, the person uploading confirms they are that athlete's parent or guardian, or have that parent or guardian's permission to upload and share it. Parents or guardians may contact us at privacy@peakfilm.ai to review or delete a minor's data.

How We Share Information

We never sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run PeakFilm:

Stripe — processes payments if you upgrade to a paid plan. We never see or store full card numbers; Stripe handles all card data.

Resend — delivers transactional emails such as your “reel ready” notification.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety, rights, or property of our users or PeakFilm.

Data Security

We protect your data with reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and restricted access to stored footage. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to limit who can access it.

Your Rights & Choices

You can access, correct, or delete your profile data from your dashboard, unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message, and request full deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing privacy@peakfilm.ai with the subject “Delete my account.” We process deletion requests within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
